WillMed, a Russian manufacturer of specialized products for stoma patients under the WellStom brand, became an active participant in the anniversary Congress of Russian Coloproctologists, organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Public Organization Association of Russian Coloproctologists, and the A.N. Ryzhikh National Medical Research Center of Coloproctology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The event, which brought together more than 1,200 leading doctors from 75 regions of the Russian Federation, took place in Moscow from October 2 to 4, 2025. The main discussions at the congress focused on improving patient care, including rehabilitation.

The large-scale section "Rehabilitation of Coloproctology Patients" was of particular importance for the company and the entire professional community. During the session, the current issues of providing rehabilitation care, combating stoma complications, and modern approaches to wound treatment were discussed in detail. The practical part of the section concluded with a master class on innovative methods of treating wounds in patients with coloproctological conditions, led by Irina Anatolyevna Kalashnikova, PhD, a doctor of the highest category and head of the Rehabilitation Department at the National Medical Research Center for Coloproctology named after A.N. Ryzhikh of the Russian Ministry of Health.

This highlights the increased attention at the highest level to the issues that the production company WillMed addresses in practice.

Participation in the congress allowed us to receive direct feedback from practicing surgeons and coloproctologists and demonstrate our contribution to the development of a comprehensive patient rehabilitation system in Russia.
