On October 1 and 2, one of the key events of the year in the field of colorectal surgery took place in Moscow — the Congress of Coloproctologists of Russia. The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Association of Coloproctologists of Russia.

 As part of the scientific program, which included symposia, lectures, scientific sessions and an exhibition, the WellStom brand presented its products and solutions in the field of stoma care.

The Congress of Coloproctologists of Russia is the central scientific and practical platform for discussing pressing issues related to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with coloproctological diseases. The main scientific areas of the event cover minimally invasive technologies, surgery for cancer of the rectum and colon, regenerative and cellular technologies, endoscopy and early diagnosis of colorectal cancer, functional bowel diseases, as well as inflammatory bowel diseases.

At the booth, conference participants familiarized themselves with modern developments and products intended for use in the postoperative period after the creation of a stoma. Special attention was paid by experts to such types of products as a transparent colostomy appliance with a window, which is designed to monitor the current condition of the stoma during the early postoperative period, as well as a transparent single‑component colostomy appliance with a convex plate, which today is the only solution on the Russian market for stoma patients with retracted, flat stomas or stomas located in skin folds and depressions on the anterior abdominal wall.
