Leading Russian coloproctologists have praised the high-tech medical production of WILLMED

On May 21, the first tour with the participation of key experts in the field of coloproctology was held at the WILLMED production cluster in the village of Smolenskaya, Krasnodar Krai. The company hosted leading doctors and oncologists from the Research Institute - Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after Professor S. V. Ochapovsky, Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2, and Clinical Oncology Dispensary No. 1 of the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory, led by Dr. of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Surgery at the ICM, Director of the Clinic of Coloproctology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, and Chairman of the Russian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (ROKS). The event was hosted by Petr Vladimirovich Tsarkov and leading experts in the field of rehabilitation of stomized patients, including the founder and president of the National Association of Patients with Disorders of the Excretory System, ASTOM, Vyacheslav Gennadievich Sukhanov, and Daria Aleksandrovna Nazarova, respectively.

The main purpose of the visit was to learn about modern production technologies, control procedures for medical devices, and innovative solutions that improve the quality of life for patients with intestinal and urological stomas.

The route for the event participants included four main production sites. The first was the absorption site, where doctors were shown the multi-layered structures of absorbent products. Currently, the production complex produces 48 million medical diapers per year, and in the future, it is planned to install additional lines for the production of absorbent linen. The next site to visit was the production facility for WellStom TM fecal collectors and WillMedic TM urinal collectors. The guests saw the process of creating adhesive plates of different diameters, as well as the production of stoma bags. The director of the production cluster, Roman Petrovich Sviridenko, paid special attention to the materials used to create the adhesive layer, which ensures a secure fit of the plate to the skin and reduces the risk of dermatitis and other complications in stoma patients. The third area of the complex, but not the least important, was the clean area, which is sterile.
